vietnam trip
sidetrack a bit first...
tomorrow is my boyfriend's POP(passing out parade)! he said he got the best in division and to be honest i dont really know what it means but i think its something like being the top student in class? so he had to lead his division during the parade and march out as the first. im so proud of him can! :D i can totally visualize him wearing the super hot marine uniform marching like a man! :DDD luckily he's not gonna wear the ugly-to-the-max green army uniform eeew hahaha. poor boyfriend is under a lot of stress because he is representing his division so he has double the pressure during rehearsals and some retarded asshole kept aiming him for no reason. but still, omg so happy for him, his girlfriend is so proud of him for having endured two months of bullshitness lol.
ok now for the day two of vietnam trip! yes i know im damn slow but im born like this so yup hahahaha ;)
DAY 2
basically for day 2 we went to an small island called Mekong Delta. and we get to sit on a sampan! :D omg it's very fun and it reminds me of the "malaysian sampan" HAHAHHA!
taken in the bus on the way to ferry terminal. saw these farmers harvesting rice and those ang moh tourists stopped their bus just to take photos and see the farmers doing their job! they are like so fascinated and all lol.
my mother, vietnamese salesgirl, my father. we bought some vietnam hats to play with.
ok from now on i shall call these the farmers hats because they remind me of farmers.

snake wines. it is said to have medical properties but it tastes like shit.
i only had a small sip and it sucks. very high alchol content and it has a disgusting aftertaste which taste like rotten meat. i guess the rotten taste comes from the snakes since the snakes are literally rotting in it. eeeeew to the max.
oh and my father bought one bottle home =.= i went to examine the snake and it looks like a cobra! omg is it poisonous?

then we walked around and went to this place where they served us some local fruits to eat.
some veitnamese ladies singing songs while we enjoy our fruits.
see the sampans in the background! we were queueing up for the sampan and this girl was sitting there and kept waving to us! she is so friendly and cute omg :D
my lao pa and uncle waving madly haha they're so enthu :) i pity the two person who had to row their sampan because erm, they are not very light lol.
still very enthu and waving like mad people lol.
on the sampan! i look very calm here but actually im very scared that i will fall into the water!
so scared that i dont even dare to move my butt lol.

my umbrella is matchy matchy with my tshirt! :D i took out my umbrella because of the scorching sun not because i want to act like a ghost ok thanks.
the stupid monk acting like a retard again lol.
and they really slept! mad power to be able to fall asleep even though the boat is shaking swaying and vibrating vigorously.
still sleeping. the sun was shining so brightly that the water in the background turned white wow.
then we went to visit this super old temple.
then we went for dinner after this.
the weather in vietnam is quite weird. the sky darkens at 5+pm and its already dark at 6+pm.
usually in singapore the sky is dark 7.30pm but over there is at like 6.30pm.
yeah end of day 2!
ok im missing the strawberry bubblebath i had in the hotel! super shiok and smells great. ahhh i want a bathtub in my bathroom!

YEAH IM BACK FROM VIETNAM!!! :DDD
so happy that i can take a long break from school hahahaha! but kindda sad that i cannot go dating with my boyfriend when he can book out early because of hari raya.
anyhow i must say something first, the price is super worth it man!! actually it is supposed to be a 4 days 3 nights tour(from 27/11 to 30/11) but the flight got cancelled and the travel agency have to change it to another flight. and luckily, the earliest flight is on 1/12 so we got one more day for free! free one night of hotel stay and got to fly in SIA instead of some ulu indonesian airline, worth it or not?!?!? what's more, my father booked it during september(during the natas travel fair i think) so it is already discounted! one person only has to pay like around $520 lor! which means one day is only around $100!
i seriously dont know how they can profit from it when it is so dirt cheap lol.
technically speaking it should be night 1 since we arrived there at night hahahaha! and that day is my lao pa's birthday! i am super jealous because he always get to celebrate his birthday overseas while we're on a holiday!
ate birthday cake at home.
my lao pa is pretty normal that day =.= oh and the wood thingy is a leg sauna! feels super shiok when you use it during cold weather or tired from a lot of walking.

all of us are super boliao cox we went to stand on the weighing machine which is used to weight the luggage during check in to measure our weight.
im 43kg! i've always thought im 40 only lor! apparently my weighing scale at home is not accurate because i measured my weight again when im back from vietnam and im still at 40 LOL.
this is taken in vietnam. we are going to dine on a ship!
please ignore my retarded face and look at the sailors in the background. all the waiters and waitresses were dressed in sailor uniforms, so cool right! i think they got different ranks too because i noticed that the uniforms are not identical, like they got different bars on their shoulders and the logos on their caps are different etc.

the traffic over there is insane.
we have to risk our lives when crossing the road because it is filled with bikes and there are very little traffic lights! even if there is they wont stop one lor they'll continue to drive when the light is red.
crossing the road is as exciting/scary as riding a roller coaster.
oh i love my hotel room!!! :DDDD
at first im like quite disappointed because our room is at the 3rd floor and the hotel lifts sucks! super slow and small omg. but when we step into the room and turn on the lights for the first time i fall in love with this lantern because it made the whole room filled with dim pink lights when the other lights are turned off! very nice ambience. the others who got the rooms at other floors are very jealous because only our floor has these decorations and they demanded us to switch rooms with them haha!
we went to look at the rooms at the other floors and our floor has the prettiest room while my parents' room at 8th floor is the most spacious.

oh and the tv!!! it has a lot of channels lor! from channel 1 all the way to channel 99!!
mad crazy i tell you. it is like the starhub cable tv. we watched channels like HBO and star movies and cartoon network etc.
